J.K. Electronics (operated by J.K. Electronics Private Limited) processes your personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"). This policy describes what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you can exercise.

1. Data we collect

• Account: name, email, phone number, password hash.
• Orders: shipping address, items purchased, payment status, GST invoices.
• Behavioural (optional): page views, searches, cart actions — only if you accept the analytics cookie.
• Marketing (optional): subscription state, campaign open/click events.

2. Purpose of processing

• Fulfil orders, issue GST-compliant invoices, deliver shipments, handle returns.
• Detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
• Improve the storefront — only with your analytics consent.
• Send promotional emails — only with your marketing consent (you can opt out from /account/preferences).

3. How long we keep it

• Order, invoice, and tax records: 72 months from the due date of the relevant annual GST return (CGST Rules 56(7)).
• Account profile: until you delete your account (see Section 6).
• Analytics events: 13 months from collection.

4. Who we share it with

Logistics partners (Shiprocket etc.) receive the shipping address. Razorpay receives payment details. We do not sell your data.

5. Your DPDP rights

• Right to access (s.11): download a copy of your data.
• Right to correction (s.12): manage your addresses or write to us.
• Right to erasure (s.12): delete your account. Order, tax, and invoice records are retained as required by law.
• Right to withdraw consent (s.6): manage cookie preferences.
